New Parent & Newborn Care Education Classes prepare you to embrace the postpartum period with confidence! The perfect compliment to a Childbirth Education Class, these classes only focus on the time after birth. New Parent classes cover the postpartum recovery period for the birthing person, the parental experience, and newborn and infant care topics. Newborn Care classes focus only on baby-related topics.
Many new parents have little to no experience with newborns and infants, and have never received any formal education or training to prepare them for bringing baby home. There tends to be a higher emphasis on education and preparation for pregnancy, labor & delivery, and then new parents are left with relatively little support once baby arrives. This often leads to parents crowdsourcing information on social media and doing a deep-dive on google, which can both be overwhelming, confusing and undermine confidence. Not only that, but it is incredibly easy to stumble across information that is not evidence-based, or even unsafe.
Everyone is welcome in my classes - from grandparents, nannies, other support people, and families of all styles, shapes, and sizes.
I offer 4 options at various price points for families to choose from.
Do you just have a few burning questions that you want answered before baby arrives? Need help creating your baby registry or organizing your nursery? Has your baby already arrived and you need some specific guidance at their current stage in life? This might be the perfect option for you!
I offer evidence-based information and advice for childbirth planning, postpartum recovery, infant care from birth through 1 year, and childcare consulting.
Your initial call is $75 (discounted to $50 for families who have attended an in-person class). Follow-up calls are $35 per 15 minutes. All calls include an additional support email free of charge!

This class is custom tailored to your needs, and taught in your own home. This can range from a single visit to a series. This class can be a great option after baby is born, particularly if you do not have the assistance of a postpartum doula. Prior to the class, we will walk though a list of potential topics together and choose what we want to focus on. This class is great fit to be done with grandparents, and can be done during pregnancy, after birth, or a combination of the two. The average class lasts 3 hours.
This class costs $125 per hour for a single family unit (up to 6 people).
